A WEEKEND OF DESERT BY DESIGN | WEEKEND PASS
A WEEKEND OF DESERT BY DESIGN & / SHED
↓
To celebrate Desert by Design, further inaugurate the soon-to-be-official / shed space and mark the start of Gemini season, we’re hosting a weekend full of special programming. We’ve asked some of our favorite producers and friends to join us for everything from talks and adobe making to an intimate spring feast.
HOW TO GET TO US
↓
To get to us, plug in the below address.
1429 NM-111
Vallecitos NM 87581
You will lose cell phone reception once you turn onto highway 111, and will have no signal—with the exception of satellite—once you arrive at the Shed ranch. We recommend enjoying a unique moment of pause, but if you do need phone connection, you are welcome to use wifi outside of Johnny and Maida’s home.
WEEKEND PASS NOTES:
We suggest dressing in layers, as temperatures do drop in the evenings and rise during the day.

A NIGHT AT THE MERCANTILE
Once a cantina, drive-through liquor store, gas station and post office, we have reimagined the Mercantile as a community gathering space and a venue for our house show series. Join us on Saturday night as we infuse it with desert magic, curated vinyl and a late night set from Big Stripes Tapes.
Tickets include two drinks per person and a burger from Larry’s, joining us from Marfa. Should you want additional beverages or food, please do bring cash as we do not have a card system.

Making and building with mud bricks is deeply intertwined with not just New Mexican culture but also with the / shed ecosystem. Start your morning by shaping the earth with us.
