SIEMPRE* daiquiri

SIEMPRE* daiquiri

¬ Our favorite drink on the ranch after a day of ranch work hands down is our 'Daily Margarita' but sometimes when we want to switch it up we make make this.

A daiquiri is essentially a rum margarita served neat. As with our margaritas we prefer it 'skinny' without syrup and served with the ice it was shaken with. In this case we love Major Arcana wild fermented rum as the base spirit with dry curaçao and meyer lemon to bring sweetness and to balance it all out. While not exactly a daiquiri, it's pretty much one, just without the simple syrup.

Usually a Daiquiri is with a light rum, and usually we use the Major Arcana white, but it is fun to try it with all the different expressions.

↴  RECIPE

1.25oz - Major Arcana wild fermented rum

.75oz - Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao

.75oz - Meyer lemon juice, fresh squeezed

150g - Ice

↴ METHOD

Start by chilling a small glass in the freezer, preferably a few hours ahead of time. A proper daiquiri glass is probably ideal, however we usually use these hand blown italian amaro glasses our friend Drew got us for our wedding.

Fill a shaker or mason jar with the ice then the rest of the ingredients. Shake vigorously and strain out the large chucks of ice allowing the small chunks to stay.
